Kim Bum joins Lee Dong-wook in fantasy drama 'Tale of the Nine Tailed'
Korean actor Kim Bum will star alongside Lee Dong-wook in the upcoming urban fantasy drama 'Tale of the Nine Tailed.' Lee Dong-wook will be playing the role of Yi-yeon, a gumiho or mythical nine-tailed fox who is being hunted down by television producer Nam Ji-ah, played by Jo Bo-ah.
Kim Bum will play the character of half-human, half-gumiho Yi-rang, who is Yi-yeon's half-brother. Yi-rang is a skillful yet dangerous gumiho who recognizes human greed and will be the source of conflict in the story.
The drama marks Kim Bum's drama comeback after four years and will be his first half-human role. Korean network TVN released teaser images of Kim Bum in character for the show.

The actor told Korean media, "“My nervousness and excitement were doubled because it was my first time filming a drama in a long time, but the filming set felt welcoming thanks to the kind director, staff members, and fellow actors who melted my heart and body that were stiff with nervousness.
"After meeting the character Yi-rang, I have been able to act in a new and interesting concept that I haven't experienced before in previous dramas and films.
"We're preparing safely, carefully, and very hard, so please anticipate the upcoming Tale of the Nine Tailed a lot.”

Earlier this year, Kim Bum finished his mandatory military service. He was popularly known for his role as So Yi-jung in Boys Over Flowers, the 2009 Korean adaptation of the manga Hana Yori Dango.
