Celebrities react to Howie Severino's detainment for removing face mask in public
Celebrities took to social media their reactions - mostly out of surprise and bewilderment - about Howie Severino's detainment earlier today, July 8 for not wearing a mask in public.
Howie was apprehended by Quezon City law enforcers who caught him wearing his face mask below his mouth. The GMA News pillar and COVID-19 survivor defended himself saying he only momentarily pulled it down to take a drink after a long bike ride.
Despite this explanation, he was brought to a seminar on the proper use of face mask and was later released.
The incident caught the ire and attention of other celebrities who couldn't help but react to Howie's experience.
Jako de Leon wrote, “I usually am very annoyed at people who don't wear their masks correctly or don't wear at all when they're in public but it is also just as ridiculous when you don't give consideration to some things that are practically common sense.Ano gusto mo gawin n'ya? ganito?”

Meanwhile, Jun Sabayton gave his two cents on which party needs more lecturing.
He said, “'Yung mga pulis na nanghuli at magbibigay daw ng workshop tungkol sa COVID para kay Howie Severino, baka mas kayo pa lecturan at baka mas maraming pa alam si Howie kesa sa inyo at kayo pa lecturan niyan.”
Howie tested positive for COVID-19 in April. He has fully recovered and has also donated his blood plasma for COVID-19 patients.
