Are you ready for Bang Ye-dam's 'WAYO?'
It's finally here! After teasing his fans for so long, the solo single of TREASURE member Bang Ye-dam has officially landed.
Titled “WAYO,” or “why” in English, it is Bang Ye-dam's first single before debuting as a member of YG Entertainment's highly-anticipated boy group in July.
In the music video, we see the singer experiencing the difficulties of going through a painful break-up that eventually leads to him properly moving on with the next chapter of his life.
He tells the listener, “I'm just here asking wayo, wayo, wayo, / Why not me? What is it you're searching for? / My baby, wayo, wayo, wayo, / Can't you see? Guess love is blind 'cause you don't.”
The soulful track was composed by Future Bounce, Andrew Choi, and WINNER's Kang Seung Yoon with lyrics by Future Bounce, Kang Seung Yoon, and AKMU's Chanhyuk.
Prior to the release of the music video, YG Entertainment sunbae artist Taeyang garnered attention for his cover of “WAYO” as a way to help promote Bang Ye-dam's solo debut.
According to reports, the single is intended as a surprise gift for fans before TREASURE's official debut and that Bang Ye-dam will not make any appearances to promote the single.
