Jang Keun-suk is relieved from the military
South Korean actor Jang Keun-suk, a.k.a. the Prince of Asia, has been relieved from his military duty last Saturday, May 29.
As he was being discharged, he was reportedly greeted by reporters and repeatedly said "thank you" to the press.
In a statement made by TreeJ Entertainment, Jang Keun-suk has been discharged early in order to adhere to social distancing measures due to the global coronavirus pandemic.
Adding, โConsidering the fact that his workplace is not open to the public and as social distancing is recommended due to the COVID-19 pandemic, he will not be holding an offline event to mark the day.โ
Over on Instagram, the actor already gave an update to his fans on his well-being by posting a photo of his diet following his two-year service.
He said in the caption, โSave a person,โ proceeding a series of sick emojis.

Early this morning, Jang Keun Suk even appeared in SBS's Power FM with comedian Kim Young-chul where he discussed his favorite projects and how it felt debuting as an actor at an early age.
Kim Young-chul even posted a photo of him with the Hallyu star on Instagram saying, โHe said that he listened to our show on his way to work every morning for two years. Thank you for picking our radio show.โ
Jang Keun-suk enlisted in the military on July 16, 2018, and has been working as a public service worker at the Seoul Metropolitan Fire and Disaster Headquarters.
He is best known for starring in the 2008 Korean television drama Beethoven Virus where he played Kang Gun-woo a young traffic officer with a natural gift for music and playing the trumpet. The drama was aired in GMA's QTV 11 (now GMA News TV) in April 2010.
