Song Joong Ki is a cool space junk pilot in new sci-fi movie "Space Sweepers"
The trailer for Song Joong Ki's new sci-fi blockbuster “Space Sweepers” is finally here and it looks mind-blowing!
According to reports, the highly anticipated movie is Korea's first sci-fi flick set in space, with a “story and graphics of a scale never before seen in the country's cinematic history.”
This is also the first time a Korean film will use motion capture to have an actor perform with their co-stars.
Together with Song Joong Ki is a star-studded cast which includes “Mr. Sunshine” actress Kim Tae Ri, “The Outlaws” actor Jin Seon Kyu, and “Confidential Assignment” actor Yu Hae Jin.
“Space Sweepers” is set in the year 2092 which follows space junk collectors Tae Ho (Song Joong Ki), Jang Sun Jang (Kim Tae Ri), Tiger Park (Jin Seon Kyu).
In the year 2092, space is full of floating garbage discarded by satellites and spaceships. While riding their spaceship “The Victory,” they discover a humanoid robot named Dorothy (Yu Hae Jin) that's known to be a weapon of mass destruction that led the crew to get involved in a risky business deal.
The 'Descendants of the Sun' actor is returning to the big screen as he takes the role of pilot Tae Ho who has a cool air about him. While he has a confident demeanor, he is also poor that's why he pilots the ship wearing only socks with holes in them instead of shoes.
