Glaiza De Castro calls for donations for surfing community in Baler

Glaiza De Castro asks for donations for Baler surf instructors and their families.

Kapuso actress Glaiza De Castro on Wednesday, April 1, raised her concern about the livelihood of local surfers and their families in Baler, Aurora now that Luzon is put under enhanced community quarantine caused by 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic.

The award-winning actress asked for donations to fund the food packs for surf instructors and their families through her Instagram post.

She said, “Still waiting for that day when we can all go outside and not worry about this virus.

“Despite the challenging times, it's encouraging to see people coming up with different awesome ideas.

“Amongst others, these two fundraising campaigns are close to my heart. Let's help these local surfers and their families get through this. Inviting everyone to share or donate.”

Glaiza said The Aurora Surf Riders Association Incorporated (ASRAI) will manage the distribution of relief goods for the local surfing community.

She also gave instructions on how the people could donate via online banking and any other means.

Glaiza learned how to surf in 2018 and since then, she makes it a point to give time to his hobby.

Meanwhile, the actress spends quarantine period in Baler together with her family and Irish boyfriend David Rainey.
