Tandang Sora dormitory offers free accommodations to health workers
More and more Filipinos are opening their hearts to help the courageous medical frontliners who are fighting the COVID-19 spread in the country
One of the businesses to recently offer help is a dormitory in Tandang Sora, Quezon City called My Rainbow Place.
The dorm has more than a hundred rooms and the usual rental fee per room is around P12,000-P15,000 monthly.
Spokesperson for My Rainbow Place Beda Mañalac said in an interview with 24 Oras that they felt the need to give more than subsidies to health workers who are exposing themselves to life-threatening risks, by being in the front line of the war against the coronavirus disease.
That's why they decided to help the best way they can, which is to give free accommodations to the tireless medical frontliners who need a place to stay.
This kind-hearted gesture is very timely since some health workers are experiencing discrimination, and are even being kicked out of the places they live in all because other people fear that they have COVID-19 and can potentially infect others.
The owner of My Rainbow Place is now said to be coordinating with the Quezon City government, who is in contact with hospitals in the city.
So, they advise those who are interested to avail of the free accommodations to coordinate closely with the department heads in their respective hospitals.
