Due to the state of calamity, GMA News TV is temporarily signing off.

GMA News TV (GNTV), is temporarily going off the air starting Thursday amid the enhanced community quarantine imposed in the whole island of Luzon to combat the spread of the coronavirus or COVID-19.

As posted on GMA Network's official Facebook page, “Due to the state of calamity, GMA News TV is temporarily signing off. Please stay tuned to GMA for all news updates.

“Hindi po muna sasahimpapawid ang GMA News TV sa kasalukuyang state of calamity sa bansa. Stay safe, mga Kapuso!”

Meanwhile, on March 19 and 20, DOBOL B sa GMA will aire from 6:00 to 7:00 AM, followed by . Unang Hirit.

GMA Network has also temporarily suspended all live shows and production of some entertainment programs.

The entire island of Luzon was placed under an enhanced community quarantine by President Rodrigo Duterte which is in effect until April 13, 2020.

This means that a strict home quarantine will be implemented in all households, transportation shall be suspended, provision for food and essential services shall be regulated, and heightened presence of uniformed personnel to enforce quarantine procedures will be implemented.
