On her Instagram live video, the former High School Musical star presumably answered a question on what would happen if the social distancing will last until July.

She said, "Um, yeah, 'til July sounds like a bunch of bullshit. I'm sorry."

Vanessa added that she gets that it's a virus, but added that death from the coronavirus is inevitable.

"It's a virus, I get it. Like, I respect it. But at the same time, like, even if everybody gets it, like, yeah, people are gonna die, which is terrible but, like, inevitable?

"I don't know, maybe I shouldn't be doing this right now," she ended laughing.

Comments started to flood on her account expressing their disappointment to Vanessa's statement.

Vanessa then issued an apology for saying those things on her Instagram live.

She wrote on Twitter. "Hey guys. I'm so sorry for the way I have offended anyone and everyone who has seen the clip from my Instagram live yesterday.

"I realize my words were insensitive and not at all appropriate for the situation in our country and the world we are in right now.

"This has been a huge wake up call about the significance my words have, nor more than ever. I'm sending safe wishes to everyone to stay safe and healthy during this crazy time."
