Veteran broadcaster Mel Tiangco renews ties with GMA Network

Veteran broadcaster and Kapuso icon Mel Tiangco has signed another exclusive contract with GMA Network.

The contract signing was held at the GMA Network Center on March 11, 2020.

Tiangco expressed her appreciation for all her years at the network.

"Nagpapasalamat ako sa inyong lahat sa ibinigay niyo sa aking pagmamahal, pagtingin, respeto. Naku, talagang napaka sarap namnamin. Kahit na papunta na ko sa ibang landas dahil sa edad, narito pa rin ako. Maraming maraming salamat siyempre sa lahat ng sumusuporta sa akin na televiewers, sa lahat ng sumusuporta sa aking mga shows," Tiangco says.

"Maraming salamat sa inyong suporta sa Magpakailanman at sa 24 Oras at lalo't higit sa GMA Kapuso Foundatuon na siyang tumutulong sa 'ting mga kababayan. Maraming maraming maraming salamat po sa inyo," she adds.

Present at the contract signing were GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon, President and COO Gilberto R. Duavit Jr., Executive Vice President and CFO Felipe S. Yalong and GMA News and Public Affairs Senior Vice President Marissa L. Flores.

GMA Network Chairman and CEO Atty. Felipe L. Gozon is glad for Tiangco's continued trust and support of the network.

"Alam naman ng lahat kung gaano kagaling si Mel Tiangco as an anchor, not only of news pero 'yung top-rating program na Magpakailanman. 'Yung kanyang sincerity na makapagserbisyo sa mga tao sa GKA Kapuso Foundation ay talagang hindi mo makukuwestiyon 'yan. Kaya naman talagang we are lucky to have Mel Tiangco with us," he says.

Mel Tiangco is one of the anchors of GMA Network's flagship news program 24 Oras and is the host of real-life drama anthology #MPK or Magpakailanman. She is also of the founder and ambassador of GMA Kapuso Foundation.
