Kiefer Ravena returns to Gilas Pilipinas as its new Team Captain
Kiefer Ravena made a bigtime comeback after being named as Gilas Pilipinas's Team Captain at FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers, following his 18-month suspension in 2018.
The suspension was the result of being tested positive for “prohibited drugs” that was reportedly derived a pre-workout energy drink.

During his recent interview with Kapuso reporter Chino Trinidad, the Gilas skipper related his thoughts on being an effective leader now that he's going to face each game this year with a heavier responsibility.
“As a leader siguro, importante din is isa ka du'n sa mga pinakaunang sumusunod. Hindi mo na sila kailangan i-force to do something because of your influence.
“And that's one way of being an effective leader 'pag ginagaya ka na nila,” he said.
Kiefer started his basketball career at age 16, and Kiefer has been molded to become a leader his 10-year career in the said sports.
