Chynna Ortaleza takes a turn in her career as she juggles three shows—including 'Dear Friend' kung saan, after a long time, she plays a light and trusting character. Text by Jason John S. Lim. And after a short break matapos ang Paano ba ang Mangarap, Chynna Ortaleza is now part of three shows—not including her regular dance performances on SOP!
"They will see me in the upcoming SRO series, the Eva Castillo story as Pilar," Chynna shares with iGMA. Pilar, according to Chynna, is "a girl who is a victim of love, much like Eva."
As for kung ano ang gagampanan niya sa buhay ng titular character, you will just have to watch the third installment of SRO Cinemaserye when it premieres beginning July 23. Pero, it's definitely something different sa magiging role ni Chynna sa Adik Sa 'Yo!
"Abangan din nila ako sa Adik sa 'Yo!" Chynna reveals, "ako naman si Liza dito—[at] matutuwa sila dahil napaka-mysterious ng role ko."
In the meantime, Chynna will be busy with Dear Friend kung saan ginagampanan niya ang character ni Dianne.
"My character here is different from the roles that I usually play—very light siya and very trusting," Chynna continues, "she is a happy character who is very much in love." Para kay Chynna, it's refreshing for her as an actress na makagawa ng ganitong role muli.
"Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay is a very interesting story about love," kuwento ni Chynna. "It will make you believe that fate or destiny plays an important role when it comes to love." And, dagdag pa niya, may maganda ring love triangle na magpe-play out sa story kung saan maipapakita "kung paano ba talaga mag mahal ng isang tao."
After this story, Chynna says, "[the] biggest lesson [people can take from this] would probably be opening your heart to whatever lesson love may bring." Dugtong pa niya, "It is always better to love with your whole being, kahit na ba may possibility na hindi kayo magka-happy ending—ang importante eh natuto ka magmahal."
Dear Friend presents Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay also reunites Chynna with Sunshine Dizon in a drama story, after OBRA presents 'Butch.'
"I am a big fan of Shine; she is one of the actresses that I really look up to," sabi ng dalaga, "I have great respect for her and I love having scenes with her kasi sobrang galing niya. She makes you feel the scene." Kaya nga, Chynna adds, "I feel blessed that they chose me to play Dianne."
With her new shows coming one after the other, Chynna tells us, "Napakasaya ko. Kasi 'yung versatility ko as an actress, lalo kong mahahasa, kasi mae-expose ako sa romance, drama and comedy na genres."
And she knows na lahat ng opportunities na nakukuha niya ngayon, bukod sa paggawa niya ng kanyang best sa lahat ng roles niya, is also because of the support that she gets from her fans. And to them, she says: "Salamat sa lahat ng Chynsters and Kapuso Supporters kasi naniniwala sila sakin."
