READ: JBK is ready to make a name beyond their 'X-Factor UK' stint

With an in-demand single, earning wide attention from the media, and hard work poured in their music, JBK claims they are ready to make a name beyond the reputation they built via The X-Factor UK in 2017.

Joshua Bulot, Bryan del Rosario, and Kim Ordonio of the Kapuso millennial trio rose to fame when they tried their luck on the British reality TV music competition held in London. They were able to reach the show's six-chair challenge before facing elimination.

But while they didn't win the title, JBK earned the approval of both music artists and enthusiasts here and abroad.

JBK has since signed as a talent of GMA Artist Center and continued their musical pursuit. They've done covers that further won the hearts of audiences while their originals have been handpicked as theme songs for the Koreanovela programs that aired on the Kapuso network.

In March 2019, the trio headlined their first solo concert and their career only promised to go uphill from there.

JBK released the controversial single “Anestisya” in October and they garnered more attention from both the media and the listeners. The song has been among the most requested in many radio stations including Barangay LS 97.1.

“Sobrang blessed kami for this project kasi one month upon release, after niyan, ang daming pumick up sa radyo. 'Yun nga, until now number five pa rin siya sa weekly (music chart) ng Barangay LS. It got us nominations as boyband of the year… kaya nakakatuwa. Marami siyang naidulot po sa amin,” Bryan claimed.

“Anestisya” has definitely made them busy with TV guestings which include Studio 7 and Mars, and even an invitation to appear on MYX. Despite having their hands full, JBK is also working on new originals which they plan to release in 2020.

Further, the trio hasn't forgotten about their dream to take OPM to the international scene.

Bryan said in GMANetwork.com's exclusive interview, “Naisip namin 'yun, na why not na kung sana maka-establish kami ng name through our songs for 2020, hindi namin kailangan sumali. [But] just the idea na kahit man hindi X-Factor, pero kalibre or ka-level ng competition na 'yun or kahit ano mang international competition, gusto naming sumali. Gusto lang namin siguro i-experience kung ano 'yung difference.”

“Ngayon kaya kami nagsusulat ng English songs para pagdating namin doon, 'yun din 'yung ipanlalaban namin. 'Yun 'yung natutunan namin nung sumali kami doon, natapat kami doon sa mga mga magagaling talaga,” Kim added.

JBK has discovered and developed their true musicality and their past yet productive experiences have honed them into the artists they want to be.

“Siguro mas ready kami kasi mas alam na namin kung paano i-handle 'yung stress at pagod doon, at alam na namin how to cope with the kaba… Nasa right path kami,” Joshua concluded.

It can be said that “Anestisya,” their strongest single to date, is just a snippet of what JBK can offer.
