GMA shows and personalities recognized by various award-giving bodies
GMA Network added more awards to its growing list of honors as it bagged trophy after trophy in the 9th National Statistics Month Media Awards, 1st Mass Media Choice Awards of the College of Education of the University of Batangas, 1st Biliran Province State University Student Choice Awards, and the 2019 Platinum Stallion Media Awards by the Trinity University of Asia.
At this year's National Statistics Month (NSM) Media Awards, GMA News Research's Brenda Barrientos-Vallarta won the Best Statistical Reporting in Online Media Award for her article “Where the Votes Are: Taking a look at the vote-rich regions, provinces and cities ahead of Eleksyon 2019.”
The awarding was held last October 1st at the Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria.
Last October 26th, GMA's number one show Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho bagged the Best Educational Magazine TV Show at the 1st Mass Media Choice Awards given by the College of Education of the University of Batangas.
At the upcoming 1st Biliran Province State University Student Choice Awards, several Kapuso personalities will be awarded for their outstanding performance in the media profession. The roster includes Atom Araullo for Student Leader's Choice Award for TV Personality, Alden Richards for Most Popular TV Personality of the Year, Kara David for Best Documentary Program Host, and Mike Enriquez for the Media Persona of Excellence Award.
Furthermore, Biyahe ni Drew will be coming home with the Best Travel Magazine Show Award while i-Witness will be awarded the Best Documentary Program.
Meanwhile, several shows will be awarded at the upcoming 2019 Platinum Stallion Media Awards to be given by the Trinity University of Asia. Included in the winners list are 24 Oras for Best News Program, Alisto for Best Public Affairs Program, Born to be Wild for Best Educational Program, Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho for Best Magazine Program, i-Witness for Best Documentary Show, Eat Bulaga for Best Noontime Show, Bubble Gang for Best Gag Show, and Sahaya for Citation for Culturally Relevant TV Series.
Aside from the award-winning programs, several personalities will also be awarded. This includes Atom Araullo for Best Male News Anchor, Jessica Soho for Best Female News Anchor, Arnold Clavio for Most Trusted Male Broadcast Journalist, and Mel Tiangco for Most Trusted Female Broadcast Journalist.
Similarly, Glaiza De Castro will be awarded the Best Film Actress Award for her role in the film Liway while Queen of Creative Collaborations Heart Evangelista-Escudero will take home the Female Social Media Influencer Award.
