Betong Sumaya couldn't help but reminisced at his humble beginnings as he signed another contract with GMA Network earlier today, October 31.

Betong renewed his ties as a Kapuso and this was witnessed by Senior Vice President for Entertainment Group Lilybeth G. Rasonable and Assistant Vice President for Talent Imaging and Marketing Simoun Ferrer.
He told Lhar Santiago in an interview, “Salamat syempre especially dito sa GMA 7, sa Artist Center at sa lahat po ng sumusuporta po sa akin sa GMA.”
“Sobrang honored pati sobrang blessed kasi minsan nga tinatanong ko sa sarili ko kung ano 'yung nagawa ko para pagkatiwalaan nila. Medyo na-validate na dahil na-renew ulit… Sobrang happy lang. Amazing, amazing.”
According to Betong, he never would've thought to reach this kind of success in his career.
He looked back, “'Yung GMA Pinoy TV na mga concerts, makapunta sa ibang bansa; sobrang laking opportunity 'yun at hindi ko 'yun magagawa basta-basta. Magkaroon ng mga teleserye, magkaroon ng movies din dto sa GMA.”
“Alam naman natin nag-start ako sa News and Public Affairs and then dito sa Entertainment. Then after Survivor, nagbukas 'yung maraming doors. Bubble Gang, iba-ibang shows sa entertainment. So sobra akong thankful at ngayon, The Gift. So thank you, thank you.”
