Details of his burial are still under discussion by Garcia's family members.

It's a sad day for the Philippine movie industry as veteran actor Eddie “Manoy” Garcia passed away at 4:55 in the afternoon at Makati Medical Center just twelve days after he suffered a severe neck fracture.

Before he died, he was in a state of comatose and was supported only by a ventilator.

According to the family's spokesperson, Dr. Tony Rebosa, the family didn't expect that the sad day has finally arrived.

To quote, “Kaninang tanghali lang, nakikipaglaban pa rin si [Eddie] Garcia para sa kaniyang buhay.”

And according to a report by 24 Oras news anchor Nelson Canlas, family member Henry Vega recalled that the 90-year-old actor wishes to be cremated.

As of the moment, the details of his burial is still under discussion by Garcia's family members.

Eddie Garcia recently bagged the Best Actor in the 42nd Gawad Urian Award for his performance in the martial law-themed movie “ML.”
