Within two weeks, the long-awaited movie 'I.T.A.L.Y.' is ready to finally set sail into theaters nationwide. And during the final press conference given by GMA Films, Andrea Delogu, the Italian actress that plays opposite Dennis Trillo in the movie is finally introduced. Text by Jason John S. Lim. Photos by Mitch S. Mauricio. "This is my first movie-[a] Filipino movie." Andrea Delogu is an Italian celebrity who hosts a television show, as well as performs with her friend Barbara as a pop group as well. And her inclusion in the movie is certainly a story worth telling! stars"In the casting, [Mark Reyes] made me cry in the middle of the street," the Italian actress shared, saying she was made to cry in front of so many people. "It's a special moment." "When we got her, actually nakakaawa ito," the director began, revealing the circumstances of Andrea's audition for the movie. He says that the production was already in a hurry, and they had Andrea get herself from Milan to Venice where they were shooting, just so she could audition. "She had to audition in the middle of the street; we had to take her pictures, [make her] laugh and cry." Direk Mark says that two other actresses also auditioned, but only Andrea really stuck out. And after casting her, the director says, they found out that Andrea also sings-and that she was also going to the Philippines. Andrea says that working with Mark Reyes and the cast of I.T.A.L.Y. is a big honor for her. "This is special for me and for mi amiga. Every night, I [would] call Barbara." She continues that she would tell her friend what they did during the shoot, how she would kiss Dennis Trillo in one day and run in a plaza the next day. Dennis, for his part, is ecstatic at getting to work with Andrea. "Sobrang masaya ako, dahil heto 'yung first time niya na gumawa ng pelikula. Bukod sa magaling siyang artista para sa isang first-timer, sobrang talented din siya. Magaling siyang singer-and nakita ko rin siyang sumayaw!" starsAnd Andrea feels very lucky for getting to work with Dennis. "For me, Dennis is a teacher. Because in two weeks, he [was able to] teach me how [to be] an actress. All moments are unforgettable. "In two weeks, I made a movie!" And the moment that she will forever remember, Andrea says, is how Dennis would tell her: 'Now look at me. Relax. And start." So far, Andrea loves the reception of Filipinos to her. After guest appearances in numerous GMA shows and getting toured to some places in the metro, Andrea is already ready to come back to the Philippines-as soon as she's able to finish her engagements in her home country.
