Kapuso stars highlight Pangasinan's biggest festivals
Some of today’s biggest and brightest stars convene in Pangasinan as GMA Network—through its regional arm GMA Regional TV (RTV)—celebrates this year’s Bangus and Pistay Dayat festivals as well as the Calasiao Town Fiesta from April 30 to May 2.
No less than Alden Richards leads the celebration of Pistay Dayat on May 1.
Capping off the month-long celebration of Dagupan City’s Bangus Festival are the casts of Kambal, Karibal and Inday Will Always Love You who will spread kilig on April 30 during the Kapuso Night in New De Venecia Highway.
Kambal, Karibal lead actors Miguel Tanfelix and Bianca Umali will be joined by their co-stars Jeric Gonzales, Pauline Mendoza, and Kyline Alcantara.
Meanwhile, off to promote her upcoming primetime series Inday Will Always Love You is Barbie Forteza. Joining her are her co-stars Derrick Monasterio, Kim Rodriguez, and Juancho Trivino.
Sought-after Kapuso actor Gabby Concepcion takes the stage as well that night while comedian Pekto Nacua hosts the program.
Last April 27, Ultimate Star Jennylyn Mercado and multi-talented actor Tom Rodriguez headlined the Bangus Festival Parade and Kapuso Fiesta in Dagupan City Plaza. They were joined by their co-stars in the newest Telebabad series The Cure— Mark Herras and Arra San Agustin.
Present as well were Extraordinary Love stars Mikee Quintos, Enrico Cuenca, and Vaness del Moral.
Meanwhile, in Lingayen, GMA RTV also takes part in the annual Pistay Dayat. On April 30, Rocco Nacino will serenade the contestants of the Limgas na Pangasinan 2018 Pageant in Capitol Plaza. Gracing the event as judge is Hindi Ko Kayang Iwan Ka actress Yasmien Kurdi. Patricia Tumulak hosts the pageant while Kapuso boyband Top One Project (T.O.P.) treats the audience with their song numbers.
The following day (May 1), Alden Richards caps off the Pistay Dayat celebration as he leads the Kapuso Night in Capitol Plaza, Lingayen.
Adding fun to the festivities are the cast of the upcoming Afternoon Prime series Karibal Ko Ang Aking Ina— Bea Binene, Benjamin Alves, and Ms. Sunshine Cruz.
Providing their dose of entertainment are the good-looking members of the Kapuso boy group One Up. Comedian John Feir hosts the Kapuso Night.
“We thank the provincial government unit of Pangasinan for inviting us to be their partner once again for the Pistay Dayat,” GMA Regional TV Department Vice President and Head Oliver Amoroso said. “It is truly an honor to be part of Pangasinan's biggest festivals. This is why we are bringing some of our biggest stars to celebrate with our Kapusong Pangasinense. We look forward to having more events with our government partners in the future,” he added.
On May 2, GMA celebrates the Calasiao Town Fiesta thru a Kapuso Fiesta at the Calasiao Plaza. Contessa leading man Jak Roberto will be joined by his co-star Phytos Ramirez as well as Joyce Ching, Addy Raj, and One Up.
