Congratulations, mga Kapuso!
Two Kapuso stars were recognized at the recently concluded 5th Gawad Bagani sa Komunikasyon.
DZBB radio host Arnold Clavio was given the Gawad Bagani sa Komunikasyon sa Radyo, while 24 Oras anchor Mel Tiangco was honored with Gawad Bagani sa Komunikasyon sa Telebisyon.
The Gawad Bagani sa Komunikasyon is a community service project which aims to celebrate personalities in the popular media who fight against social injustice rooted in poverty as manifested in unemployment, illiteracy, illness, and powerlessness.
To determine the honorees, Gawad Bagani sa Komunikasyon surveys residents from Caloocan, Malabon, Navotas and Valenzuela (CAMANAVA) as well as students, faculty and employees from the University of the East.
The awards ceremony was held on February 15, 2018 at the University of Caloocan.
