BB Gandanghari looks back at all the changes and challenges she has experienced during her transition to womanhood for almost a decade.

BB recalled how she declared the death of Rustom Padilla, and her liberation towards who she is right now.

“As I enter my decade of resilience to endure all that is needed to go thru the very, an understatement, difficult process called TRANSITION, even more challenging times ahead is expected. I’ve been mentioning these different aspects such as the physical, social, psychological, spiritual, physiological, professional... because I have believed from the onset of my transition that these will all be vital as I see myself eventually assimilating in the society as woman, not as [a] man cross-dressing as a woman or as a gay man, no pun intended, but as a WOMAN, transgender I may be,” she said.

BB admitted that her life since 2009 was never short of difficulties but she celebrates in the thought that she has come this far.

“And not only did I get this far, I think I can honestly say also, that I’m exactly where I am supposed to be. Peaceful and hopeful as I enter my decade of womanhood, despite the troubling hate that threatens my person even in the land of the Free and the Brave,” she continued.

Jan16,2018: Waiting to exhale... It has been 9 yrs since, when a woman named BB. declared ‘Rustom is DEAD.’ So, who killed Rustom Padilla, to quote #RickyLo’s headline, and where is his body? Well, his body was never found and the prime suspect lived in liberty but not without cause. As I enter my decade of resilience to endure all that is needed to go thru the very, an understatement, difficult process called TRANSITION, even more challenging times ahead is expected. I’ve been mentioning these different aspects such as the physical, social, psychological, spiritual, physiological, professional... bec I have believed from the onset of my transition that these will all be vital as I see myself eventually assimilating in the society as a woman, not as a man cross dressing as a woman or as a gay man, no pun intended, but as a WOMAN, transgender I may be. My life since Januaryof2009, was anything but EASY. It is a decade of self awakening and awareness. A decade of, without being dramatic, back breaking experiences in the physical and spiritual sense. Had it not with the guiding force and strength of a straight from the heart prayers to the one and only true God, Jehovah, nothing will ever be possible. I look back and wonder, how the heck, I have even gone this far? And not only did I get this far, I think I can honestly say also, that I’m exactly where I am supposed to be. Peaceful and hopeful as I enter my decade of womanhood, despite the troubling hate that threatens my person even in the land of the Free and the Brave. And in the wake of #MLKJr. day... may I pay tribute, in my own little way, to the man I consider a modern day hero for he has remained a constant reminder that indeed, I too can Dream... that I am in the land who BELIEVE and RESPECT that “ALL MEN ARE CREATED EQUAL.” #transisbeautiful #transpinay #kabuki #elizabeththevirginqueen #actorsaccess #lacasting #castingfrontier #castingsocietyofamerica @thebroganagency
