Kapuso singer-actress Kai Atienza made the bold decision to chop off the dreadlocks she has been donning for three years and eight months.
 
She had it done in Bangkok out of curiosity.
 
“I’ve always wondered how it would feel like or ano itsura ko, eh andun na rin naman ako sa Khao San Road so I was like, ‘Sige, let’s try.’ I’ll never find out kung hindi ko i-ta-try,” she said.

Though she was first anxious about getting the haircut, Kai is happy with how it turned out.

“I [missed] having my beach curls kasi naturally naman talaga akong kulot,” she shared.
 
She also clarified that the act wasn’t ‘heartbreak induced.’

 “Wala namang breakup or anything sad. Actually, [many] good [things] are happening so it just fits the occasion na a lot of different things are happening [in my life] and there’s only forward to go to,” she said.
