According to the Kapuso actress, her relationship with Ken is something she values as the latter is a kind person and a positive influence in her life.
“Minsan, may times na nag-aalangan [ako sa] career path [that I took]. Lagi niyang sinasabi, ‘Huwag kang mag-alala. Timing lang 'yan. Tapos nung Destiny Rose [na siya], sabi ko ‘Uy, congratulations! Ayan na.’ [He said] ‘Ano ka ba, your time will come.’ He’s a very positive guy and he deserves all [these blessings],” the Kapuso actress shared.
She also noted how Ken remains grounded considering all his recent achievements.
“Hindi lumalaki 'yung ulo niya… [We honestly thought] ‘Shucks, nag-Destiny Rose na siya. Baka mamaya makalimutan na niya tayo.’ Hindi. Talagang naaalala pa rin niya… 'Yung nakaka-touch [din tuwing may] 1st Ko Si Third [promotion, he would share the stage with me, he will say] ‘Uy, tawagan n'yo si Coleen [kahit] alam ko na siya lang talaga 'yung inaabangan lagi,’” she shared.
Aside from being her first leading man, Ken has made an impact on Coleen’s life as he inspires her to be a better artist and person.
“Nung nag-shoo-shoot kami [noon], lagi siyang alalay eh kasi alam niyang bago ako… He’s a good man, very likeable. Wala naman talaga kong nakikitang masama sa kanya. Very sweet pati… [This concert], he’s been working hard for it. He deserves every bit of [success],” she concluded.
