'Game of Thrones' actor Iain Glen joins cast of 'Quezon'
Acclaimed actor Iain Glen is among the cast of the Quezon biopic along with Benjamin Alves, Jericho Rosales, and Mon Confiado.
TBA Studios announced Monday that Scottish actor Iain Glen will portray Leonard Wood, the U.S. Army major who served as Governor-General of the Philippines from 1921 to 1927.
According to director Jerrold Tarog, Iain Glen's casting brings Quezon to life even more.
"[Iain Glen] has gravitas. But at the same time, he can let loose, which is important for the role of Leonard Wood," he said in a press release.
TBA Studios President and COO Daphne O. Chiu also shared her excitement about Iain Glen joining the film's cast.
"This film is shaping up to be one of the biggest productions in Philippine cinema, with one of the largest casts ever assembled. We are excited to share with Iain--and the rest of the world--the production scale and level of artistry that Filipino filmmakers are capable of," she said.
