Jaclyn Jose included in the 2025 Oscars' 'In Memoriam' section

Late actress Jaclyn Jose was among the stars given a tribute by the The Academy Awards via the "In Memoriam" page on its website.

The web page commemorates artists and filmmakers who passed away in the past year.

"The Academy honors friends and colleagues we lost over the last year. Take a moment to remember the artists and filmmakers we lost in 2024-2025," the "In Memoriam" section read.

Jaclyn's photo and title as actress are displayed on the page.

Andi Eigenmann, her daughter, shared an Instagram Story showing the tribute.

"My Nanay is among other Hollywood artists and filmmakers who are remembered by the Academy this year," Andi captioned her post, including a screenshot of Jaclyn's memoriam.

Jaclyn is among the many celebrated artists from the film industry who have passed away. The "In Memoriam" page includes Hollywood stars Gene Hackman, Michelle Trachtenberg, Shannen Doherty, Olivia Hussey, Maggie Smith, Gena Rowlands, among others.

The honorary post coincides Jaclyn's one year death anniversary. She passed away in 2024 at age of 60 due to a heart attack.

Jake Ejercito, the biological father of Andi's child Ellie, has also paid tribute to the late actress.

In his Facebook post, Jake shared moments from his and Ellie's visit to the columbarium where the acclaimed actress has been laid to rest.

He captioned the post, “one year on.”

Jaclyn began her acting career in the '80s, and through the decades, she received accolades from Gawad Urian, Luna Awards, and FAMAS.

In the 90's she continued to remain active in the industry, taking on roles in dramas Familia Zaragoza as Ester and Magda in Mula Sa Puso.

She expanded her career to different networks, appearing in several teleseryes like Sana'y Ikaw Na Nga, Zorro, My Husband's Lover, Marimar, Hiram, Agua Bendita, Dyosa, and Prinsesa ng Banyera.

Jaclyn was also known for Lino Brocka's White Slavery, The Flor Contemplacion Story, Patay na si Hesus, and more.

In 2016, Jose earned a Best Actress award from the internationally renowned award-giving body Cannes Film Festival for her role in Brilante Mendoza's Ma' Rosa. She made history as the first Filipino and Southeast Asian to achieve the award. Her last work included FPJ's Batang Quiapo in 2023.
