Year in Review: GMA Network's milestones in 2024

GMA Network gained over 40 billion video views across Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok in 2024. Sitting at the 19th spot, it is the highest-ranking media company in Southeast Asia according to the Tubular Leaderboard Worldwide Rankings under the Entertainment and Media Category. It's official website GMANetwork.com obtained over 249 million page views, according to Similar Web.

GMA Network's wartime family drama Pulang Araw is set to be the first Filipino TV series to be archived on the moon. The series will be part of the Lunar Codex project and will be launched to the Lunar South Pole via the Polaris collection in 2025.

Several long-running Kapuso shows also marked their anniversaries this year. Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho reached 20 years, Magpakailanman 22 years, i-Witness 25 years, Bubble Gang 29 years, Unang Hirit 25 years, and Reporter's Notebook reached 20 years.

Hello, Love Again, GMA Pictures co-production with Star Cinema earned PHP 1.5 billion at the box office, making it the highest grossing Filipino film of all time.

The National Council for Children's Television Awards handed GMA Network the NCCT's Child-Friendly Content Standards (CFCS) Compliant Broadcast Television Award at the 2024 National Council for Children's Television Awards. GMA's advocacy campaign, "Dapat Ganito, Kapuso," also received a Special Citation Award while infotainment shows iBilib and AHA! won the Child-Friendly Television Program awards. OK AKO also received a Certificate of Recognition as Grantee of National Endowment Fund for Children's Television (NEFCTV).

Firefly, the movie produced by GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs, took home six awards at the 2024 Gawad Pasado, including Pinakapasadong Pelikula ng Taon, Pinakapasadong Batang Aktor for Euwenn Mikaell, Pinakapasadong Editing for Benjo Ferrer, Pinakapasadong Sinematograpiya for Neil Daza, Pinakapasadong Istorya for GMA Public Affairs Senior Assistant Vice President Angeli Atienza, and Pinakapasadong Katuwang na Aktor for Epy Quizon. Kapuso actor Ken Chan was also named the Pinakapasadong Aktor Award for his role in the movie Papa Mascot, while GMA Integrated News broadcast journalist Sandra Aguinaldo was hailed the Pinakapasadong Mamamahayag sa Larangan ng Kamalayang Pilipino.

GMA Network took home 19 accolades at the 2024 Platinum Stallion National Media Awards, including Regional TV Network of the Year for GMA Regional TV--an award it has received for the seventh time. DZBB Super Radyo 594 was chosen as the AM Radio Station of the Year, while Unang Hirit was named the Best Morning Show. 24 Oras was named the Best TV News Program, while Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho was hailed as the Best News Magazine Program. Vicky Morales was chosen as the Female News Anchor of the Year for 24 Oras, while Atom Araullo is the Male News Anchor of the Year for State of the Nation. Emil Sumangil was named the Best Public Service Program Host for Resibo: Walang Lusot ang May Atraso. Reporter's Notebook won the Best Documentary TV Show Award, while Royal Blood was hailed the Best Primetime Drama Series. Family Feud was chosen as Best Game Show, while Pepito Manaloto was named the Best Comedy Program. Rhian Ramos won the Best Primetime Actress Award for her performance in Royal Blood, Pokwang won Best Variety Show Host for Tiktoclock, and Ashley Ortega was given the Breakthrough Artist of the Year Award for Hearts on Ice. Martin Javier was also named Best TV Sports Program Host. Zig Dulay was named Director of the Year, while Euwenn Mikael was named the Child Star of the Year for Firefly.
