Here's what happened at Arnold 'Igan' Clavio's contract renewal with GMA
Igan is still a solid Kapuso!
GMA Integrated News pillar and multi-awarded news anchor Arnold Clavio renewed his contract with the Kapuso Network on Tuesday morning, December 3.
The momentous event was attended by several big bosses of GMA and colleagues of Igan, with whom he had the pleasure of working in both TV and radio throughout the years.
Igan said during his contract renewal that after his hemorrhagic stroke back in June, he left everything to God to guide him in his remaining mission in what he considers his second life.
“Ang lagi ko sinasabi ang life expectancy ng Filipino hanggang 70 years old, so 60 na ako next year. May 10 years ako na i-prove pa sa Kaniya. At Siya na 'yun, Siya na 'yung bahala na maging boses pa rin ako ng mga balita,” the award-winning Kapuso anchor said.
Igan continued, “First-time po na hindi ko alam na aabot ng 25 years ang Unang Hirit. Nandito po ako sa GMA noong 1989, so mahigit 35 years na rin po ako nandito. Naging second home ko na po siya. At talagang sinabi kung lilipat ako, last na 'yung paglipat ko from other radio station sa DZBB at ayoko nang lumipat pa.”
