Enzo Almario clarifies: 'GMA Network had no involvement in what happened to me'

Filipino singer Enzo Almario recently took to Instagram to clarify GMA Network is not involved in his harassment complaint against musical director and vocal arranger, Danny Tan.

In his Instagram story, the artist asserted that GMA Network had nothing to do with the incident and confessed he kept everything a secret from the media company.

He wrote, "Hi, I just want to clarify something. GMA Network had no involvement in what happened to me.”

Enzo expressed that if GMA had known about the harassment earlier, they would have taken legal action.

He stated, "I'm confident that if they had known, they would have taken action and protected me. However, I didn't have the courage back then that I do now."

Enzo clarified that the former musical director was an individual contractor despite his involvement in the company.

“As far as I know, the person involved worked with GMA Network, but wasn't actually part of the network,” he continued.

The former Sugarpop member also highlighted that he knows his purpose and intention in speaking up. He stated that if his decision can inspire other victims to fight and will receive unsupportive reactions from other people, he will accept it.

Enzo recently made headlines for bravely speaking up about alleged sexual harassment by Danny Tan. He first shared his story in a recent video with Gerald Santos and later provided more details about his traumatic experiences.

Enzo confessed the harassment started when he was still 12 years old and a member of GMA's teen group Sugarpop, handled by the former musical director. He also mentioned that he's not the only victim as he experienced being molested together with other kids in one room.

Regarding that, Enzo currently encourages other victims to speak up about the incident. The artist also took to Instagram to give encouragement on fight back and seek justice.

Along with a throwback picture, he wrote a message to other victims, "To anyone else who was a victim of this person, speak up and free yourself. This wasn't our fault; HE TOOK ADVANTAGE OF OUR INNOCENCE."

He also added, "I sincerely hope (to) get justice, not just for ourselves, but for the potential victims he may be targeting and everyone he already preyed on."

Enzo also apologized for any unread or unanswered messages, asking for understanding as he navigates emotional struggles and confronts his traumas again.
