Stell Ajero
Stell Ajero is one of the fastest-rising music artists in the Philippines because of her incredible talent for performing, especially singing.
Humble beginnings
Just like everybody else, Stell Ajero was also a simple boy from Las Piñas City who dreamed of becoming a successful singer in the country.
Education
Stell Ajero studies hotel and restaurant management at STI College. While studying, he used to work as a service crew member at a fast food chain.
Challenge
While juggling all his duties as a working student, Stell Ajero, unfortunately, almost had a pulmonary edema.
“Sa kasamaang palad po muntik na po akong magkaroon ng tubig sa baga. So 'yung kinita ko po doon sa pinagtrabahuhan ko doon din po napunta sa hospital bills po,” he shared on his previous interview with Karen Davila.
Pure talent
To support his family and his education, despite the trigger to his health, Stell Ajero used to teach dance classes in a school for children with special needs.
Where it all started
Way back in 2015, Stell Ajero got invited to become a talent to perform in another country. At first, he just grabbed the opportunity, believing that it was for a job. Until it came out that they were actually invited to be trained as talent and eventually form a group, which is now called the SB19.
Hard work
In an interview with Toni Gonzaga-Soriano, Stell Ajero claimed that they were trained for four years and gave up their regular careers before becoming SB19. Many of his colleagues had already left, but he decided to stay since he was determined to become a professional performer.
SB19
SB19 debuted in 2018 as the newest P-pop boy group at the time. Their first single was "Tilaluha," and while many people supported them, others seemed unimpressed with their group. But they persisted, not allowing any discouragement to demotivate them.
Choreographer
Stell Ajero has emerged as SB19's main choreographer as they continue to make a name for their group in the Philippine music industry.
Pinoy Pride
SB19 is the first Filipino and Southeast Asian artist to be nominated for Top Social Artist at the Billboard Music Awards in April 2021, alongside Korean superstars BTS.
The Voice Generations
Because of his incredible talent, Stell Ajero was chosen by GMA Network to be one of the coaches of the first-ever The Voice Generations in Asia and the Philippines.
Coach Stell
In an interview with GMANetwork.com, Stell Ajero revealed that his SB19 co-members were the ones who pushed him to say, “Yes,” to The Voice Generations and become Coach Stell.
He shared, “I think wala naman akong reason to say, 'No,' kasi even my friends, colleagues, family, and SB19 members, nung nalaman nila 'yung news na 'yun, talagang sila 'yung number one na nagsabing, 'O, Stell kapag 'yan pinalampas mo pa, hindi na namin alam kung anong gagawin sa'yo.' So parang sa kanila pa nanggaling na excited sila for me para sa project na 'to. So isa rin 'yun sa naging reason para maging positive ako about this kaya sabi ko, 'Game.'”
Solo debut
On June 7, SB19's Stell announced his debut as a solo recording artist with his much-awaited first single, "Room," which will be released on June 14.
