It wasn't only then outgoing titleholder Paulina Vega, mistakenly crowned beauty queen Ariadna Guttierez, and winner Pia Wurtzbach who felt awkward about the controversial Miss Universe 2015 coronation.

Olivia Jordan, the candidate of the United States, got to witness the dreadful situation up close and couldn't believe what transpired.

"It was the most bizarre and confusing of circumstances for the final two. I think everyone in the room was at a loss for how to react as the situation played out in real time… I'm still in absolute shock," she wrote.

The American actress and model felt sad that Pia wasn't able to fully enjoy what should have been a completely glorious moment, and that Ariadna was given her dream, but only for a short while.

"I'm honored that I got to stand beside them and devastated for each of them – [for] Pia Wurtzbach, that her moment was tainted by controversy and most of all for Ariadna Guttierez [for] having her dream ripped away from her in an instant," she added.

Miss USA, however, commended her two friends and wished them well.

"I know both women have an incredible year ahead of them where they will embrace every opportunity that comes out of this… My heart breaks for gorgeous Miss Colombia but I believe it is her destiny to do even bigger things this year and beyond! I have no doubt she will be unequivocally successful. And Pia Wurtzbach will be an incredible ambassador for this organization and is also a truly deserving Miss Universe. You both are winners… I look forward to all that is ahead for both of these incredible women," she noted.

Lastly, she also extended her concern to host Steve Harvey, whose mistake caused confusion and anger to many fans.

"I want to send some love to Steve Harvey in a sea of hate. He made an honest mistake that he has owned up to and apologized for. We are all perfectly imperfect as humans and mistakes happen. Let's please spread love and positivity," Olivia concluded.
