Noong nakaraang linggo ay pormal nang pinirmahan ni Kobe Paras ang letter of intent para maglaro sa koponan ng UCLA Bruins simula sa taong 2016. Kabilang si Kobe sa tatlong senior high school basketball players na ni-recruit ng nasabing team.
Kuwento ng 6-foot-6 guard ng Cathedral High School sa Los Angeles, hanggang ngayon daw ay hindi pa rin siya makapaniwala na magiging miyembro na siya ng UCLA Bruins.
"It was crazy. I didn't expect it at all. So just knowing that I'm going to a historical school makes me just reallly proud and happy to be a Filipino," bahagi niya sa 24 Oras.
Nakapanayam naman ng '24 Oras' ang kapatid ni Kobe na si Andre Paras at tinanong siya tungkol dito. "I'm really proud of him kasi ever since bata kami, I can see that Kobe is already the one who is into basketball, siya 'yung parating nasa training, siya 'yung nagte-train sa sarili niya," sagot ng 'The Half Sisters' star.
