Alessandra De Rossi, Euwenn Mikaell, Miguel Tanfelix, and Ysabel Ortega come together for Firefly trailer release
Firefly, GMA Network's official entry to the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival, released its full trailer at a special screening held at SM North Edsa Director's Club on November 29.
Alessandra De Rossi, Euwenn Mikaell, Miguel Tanfelix, and Ysabel Ortega came together to support the release of the two-and-a-half-minute preview of the film with their director Zig Dulay.
Alessandra, who stars in the movie as Elay, described the trailer of the film as "magical."
She said, "Alam ko kung bata ako at this moment, magsasabi ako ng, 'Mama, manood tayo niyan!' It's been so long na nakakita tayo ulit ng ganitong pelikula na pambata at bata mismo 'yung bida."
Euwenn, who portrays Elay's son Tonton who searches for the mythical island of fireflies, almost got emotional after watching the trailer.
He said, "Naiisip ko po kung gaano kaganda 'yung full movie po. 'Pag napanood ko po nang buo, baka mapaiyak ko rin po 'yung sarili ko."
GMA Pictures Senior Vice President and GMA Public Affairs First Vice President Nessa Valdellon and Firefly creator and writer, GMA Public Affairs Assistant Vice President Anj Atienza, also attended the event.
'Firefly' is part of this year's Metro Manila Film Festival, and will be shown in cinemas starting December 25.

Zig Dulay
Director Zig Dulay reiterated that 'Firefly' is a story for everyone. "Kuwento ito hindi lamang para sa mga bata at para sa mga nanay, kuwento natin lahat na mga anak na ginagawa 'yung lahat para ipaglaban, lumabas, para makuha 'yung pangarap natin hindi lang sa sarili natin, kung hindi para sa magulang natin," he said.
Nessa Valdellon
Senior Vice President for GMA Pictures Nessa Valdellon produced the movie. She thinks that the beautiful story (by writer Anj Atienza) coupled with the way it was directed and shot (by Director Zig Dulay and DOP Neil Daza)-- has the makings of a new Philippine classic.
