Look back on Nikki de Moura and Nicole Borromeo's international pageant journeys
The past couple of days have been a rollercoaster of emotions for Filipino pageant fans and followers, as two of the country's bets have seen their ups and downs in the international pageants they've competed in.
Miss Grand Philippines Nikki de Moura had a good showing in the lead-up to the coronation night at the Phú Thọ Indoor Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. However, she was not as fortunate on the night itself and did not make it to the pageant's top 20 finalists.
Meanwhile, Binibining Pilipinas International Nicole Borromeo has had a more fortunate run, ending her Miss International journey with a third runner-up finish.

Nikki de Moura was all smiles early this month before flying to Vietnam to compete in the Miss Grand International pageant.
Warm welcome
Nikki de Moura arrived in Vietnam wearing an Ao Dai, Vietnam's national costume. In her Instagram post chronicling her arrival, Nikki expressed her excitement to be in the country.

Flagbearer
Binibining Pilipinas International Nicole Borromeo left for Tokyo, Japan early this month to try and bring home the country's seventh Miss International crown.
Clad in a kimono
Nicole Borromeo looked especially elegant in the kimono she had on while at the Yamanaka Onsen in Kaga, Japan.
The allure of the sea
Nicole Borromeo's national costume took its inspiration from the sea urchin, “a culinary treasure cherished by the Philippines and Japan.”
Podium finish
After all her efforts, Nicole Borromeo was able to finish the Miss International pageant as third runner-up.
