Liezel Lopez and Martin del Rosario to continue unexpected teamup in 'Asawa ng Asawa Ko'
Liezel Lopez thanks viewers who have consistently followed the live action series Voltes V: Legacy on GMA Telebabad.
GMANetwork.com got to chat with Liezel during the opening of the 10th experience store of Honor Philippines at the Cyberzone on Mall of Asia in Pasay City last Saturday, August 26.
Here she expressed about the strong support of fans to their show.
She said, “Maraming-maraming salamat po sa lahat ng sumusuporta. Sobrang saya po namin at sobrang proud po kami kasi itong project na ito is 100 percent na gawang Pinoy. Talagang proud Pinoy moment, to think na kahit sa ibang bansa, talagang nare-recognize ito. It's really such an honor to be part of this."
Liezel also mentioned that she and Martin were suprised that their unexpected team up, called as ZarZa, has gained some followers. On Voltes V: Legacy, Liezel plays the role of Zandra, the one of the advisers of Prince Zardos, played by Martin, the leader of Boazanian invasion force.
“Sobrang saya ko po kasi hindi ko rin kasi ine-expect na parang mabibigyan ng depth yung kay Zandra kasi yung love angle nila ni Zardos sa anime parang sa huli na. Dito, happy ako na kahit nadagdagan namin or mas nabigyan namin ng mas malalim na meaning yung love ni Zardos kay Zandra, mainit pa rin ang pagtanggap ng mga tao,” the Sparkle artist said.
Like their followers, Liezel added, “Sobrang hindi rin namin ine-expect kasi parang first time na yung mga kontrabida ay nagpapakilig din.”
Voltes V: Legacy is expected to end soon. However, Liezel assures fans they will still get to see her and Martin together in their next TV project. They will be part of the upcoming GMA Afternoon Prime series titled Asawa ng Asawa Ko, which will be headlined by Jasmine Curtis Smith and Rayver Cruz.
“Kung nagalit po kayo kay Zandra sa Voltes V, mas maiinis pa po kayo,” Liezel described her character in the said teledrama.
She added, “Si Direk kasi parang gusto niya mysterious ang character ko rito. Ako kasi yung parang mastermind, so abangan n'yo 'yan. And yung connection namin dito ni Martin, friends muna kami sa start. So tingnan natin, malay natin may kuwentong love…”
