Meet fourth-generation ultimate performers THE BOYZ
K-pop boy band THE BOYZ is one of the earliest fourth-generation groups who are effortlessly dominating the music industry up to this day. The boy band is known for being versatile and true all-rounders who can sing, dance, and rap and make jaws drop.
The 11-member K-pop boy band comprising Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, JuHaknyeon, Sunwoo, and Eric made their debut under Cre.Ker Entertainment last December 6, 2017, by releasing their first mini-album THE FIRST.
Since then, they have released a multitude of albums and songs that truly captivated the heart of their fandom, The B. THE BOYZ is known for many things but they are famous for joining MNET's Road To Kingdom where they battled with K-pop boy bands Pentagon, ONF, Golden Child, Verivery, Oneus, and To1 to get into Kingdom.
They blew everyone away with their knack for singing, dancing, rapping, and ultimately, performing. They eventually won the competition and proved to the entire industry that they can dominate and stand above the rest.
The Boyz also visited the Philippines countless times such as their fan meeting in 2019 and their first 'Zeneration' concert last July 2023. The group visited last year as well for the Asian Artist Awards 2023, where they won the Focus Award.
Recently, The Boyz reunited with their Filipino fans during their 'Zeneration II' Manila concert at the Mall of Asia Arena.
THE BOYZ
THE BOYZ is a fourth-generation K-pop boy group consisting of 11 members namely; Sangyeon, Jacob, Younghoon, Hyunjae, Juyeon, Kevin, New, Q, JuHaknyeon, Sunwoo, and Eric. They made their debut under Cre.Ker Entertainment on December 6, 2017.
Sangyeon
Sangyeon is the leader and main vocalist of THE BOYZ. He was born on November 4, 1996, making him a Scorpio. Sangyeon is the so-called father of the group and the unluckiest member of all. Despite that, he has charm and talent that you can't resist falling in love with.
Jacob
Jacob is the lead vocalist and sub-rapper of THE BOYZ. He was born on May 30, 1997, making him a Gemini. Jacob is Canadian as he was born in Canada. If Sangyeon is the father of the group, Jacob is the mother. He's a talented artist who can sing, rap, and play the guitar.
Younghoon
Younghoon is the lead vocalist and visuals of THE BOYZ. He was born on August 8, 1997, making him a Leo. Apart from being a talented K-pop artist, this attractive man also has a knack for acting and appeared in numerous Korean dramas. He's also a talented swimmer who has won national swimming competitions. Indeed, the total package.
Hyunjae
Hyunjae is the lead vocalist, lead dancer, and visuals of THE BOYZ. He was born on September 13, 1997, making him a Virgo. This attractive smiley man is known for being the jokester of the group. Last 2021, he also made his debut as an actor in the web drama 'I Can See Your MBTI.'
Juyeon
Juyeon is the main dancer, sub vocalist, and visuals of THE BOYZ. He was born on January 15, 1998, making him a Capricorn. This handsome man has a lot of layers to unravel but at the core, he's one of the best dancers in the industry who can make jaws drop. He's also a huge fan of TVXQ's Yunho to the point that he cried when he met him in person.
Kevin
Kevin is the main vocalist of THE BOYZ. He was born on February 23, 1998, making him a Pisces. Kevin is fluent in English as he lived in Canada since he was 4 years old. This talented K-pop idol also knows how to play piano. But apart from music, he also has a knack for art and graphic design and even designed the group's logo. Fans of this artist should also be ready as Kevin usually pulls out surprises such as taking off his shirt at concerts.
New
New is the main vocalist of THE BOYZ. He was born on April 26, 1998, making him a Taurus. New is dubbed as the selfie king amongst all the members because of how much of a natural he is when taking photos of himself.
Q
Q is the main dancer and sub vocalist of THE BOYZ. He was born on November 5, 1998, making him a Scorpio. He follows Juyeon's talent in dancing and has got a multitude of impressive moves under his sleeves. Your eyes will be glued to Q when he starts to groove.
JuHaknyeon
JuHaknyeon is the lead dancer, sub vocalist, and sub rapper of THE BOYZ. He was born on March 9, 1999, making him a Pisces. This half-Chinese and half-Korean boy has got a knack for b-boying. But apart from being a talented K-pop idol, he also knows how to act and even won an AAA Focus Actor award for his performance in the film 'Seoul Ghost Stories.'
Sunwoo
Sunwoo is the main rapper, lead dancer, and sub vocalist of THE BOYZ. He was born on April 12, 2000, making him an Aries. This talented rapper can effortlessly put you in a trance you can't easily escape. He's got a way with words that instantly captivate. One more thing you'd love about him is he also loves the anime 'Your Name.' We say he's got taste.
Eric
Last but definitely not least is Eric THE BOYZ' lead rapper, lead dancer, sub-vocalist, and maknae. He was born on December 22, 2000, and grew up in Los Angeles, California. Some Filipino fans call Eric a Filipino in heart, as he calls the Philippines his hometown.
Siargao
Did you know that The Boyz featured the beautiful island of Siargao in their music video "Lip Gloss"? Filipino fans couldn't help but notice how the members fell in love with the place, especially Eric. During their Zeneration II concert, the maknae always mentioned Siargao and how he will never forget the place.
Lightstick
The Boyz is also one of the K-pop groups ls who have a unique lightstick. It was designed like a megaphone yet its speaker or end was shaped like a heart. The Boyz personalized name it as 'Heart Bbyong Bong.'
