Sparkle artists David Licauco, Thea Astley, Timmy Albert, Bey Pascua sign deal with Universal Records
Sparkle artists David Licauco and Thea Astley are grateful for their new career milestones as they officially signed their recording contracts with Universal Records.
Timmy Albert and Bey Pascua, on the other hand, are thankful and blessed to be part of Sparkle GMA Artist Center.
Present during the contract signing were GMA Senior Vice President Annette Gozon-Valdes, Sparkle Assistant Vice President Joy Marcelo, Sparkle Senor Talent Manager Tracy Garcia, Sparkle Talent Manager Jan Navarro, Universal Records Philippines Managing Director Kathleen Dy-Go, Talent Manager Arnold Vegafria, and Universal Records Philippines Vice President for Operations Peter Chan.

David Licauco
David Licauco is excited to share his own brand of music as he signed a recording contract with Universal Records on March 21.
Recordings
David Licauco is no stranger to singing. He previously released the song "It's the Best Thing," the original soundtrack of GMA's rom-com series 'Heartful Cafe,' and "Kailangan Kita," which was one of the theme songs of the historical portal fantasy series 'Maria Clara at Ibarra.'
Thankful and blessed
"Hindi pa rin ako makapaniwala with all the blessings na nakukuha ko the past two months like right now I'm here with Universal Records, I can't help but feel thankful and blessed to be in this position," David Licauco shared in an interview.
Music
Now that he is also venturing into music, David Licauco's plans include more singing practice such as taking vocal lessons to improve his voice and singing abilities.
Thea Astley
Signing with Universal Records is Thea Astley's first recording contract. She shared, "I'm just thankful and grateful to GMA, Sparkle, and Universal Records. Thank you so much for welcoming me and I promise to do my best and to be open to collaborations with you guys. Hopefully, we can create beautiful music together."
Qualities
When asked what qualities she thinks Universal Records saw in her, she said, "When I performed for them, I performed all of my originals so feeling ko nagustuhan nila 'yung mga sarili kong sulat. And I really tried to connect to them and sinabi ko rin that I am very open to collaboration and I'm willing to work with people na mas expert sa akin when it comes to production, songwriting."
Own music
Thea Astley expressed her excitement about performing the songs she wrote now that she has officially joined Universal Records. Soon, we will be able to hear her R&B Soul and R&B Pop type of music.
Bey Pascua
It is a privilege for Bey Pascua to have an opportunity to be part of the collaboration between Sparkle GMA Artist Center and Universal Records.
Collaboration
In a press interview, Bey Pascua shared her dream to collaborate with Asia's Limitless Star Julie Anne San Jose. "She has so much talent and I would love to work with her. She is super nice and down to earth. Hopefully, I can get an opportunity to do that."
Acting
Aside from music, Bey also has an interest in acting. She stated that she would love to work with Ruru Madrid.
Timmy Albert
Timmy Albert is honored and blessed for the opportunity to ink a contract with Sparkle GMA Artist Center
