Meet the cast of Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist
'Poong, the Joseon Psychiatrist' is the newest Korean drama series that revolves around the story of Yoo Se-yeop (Kim Min-jae), the best acupuncturist but was thrown out of the palace after he was accused of murder. He then meets a widow, Seo Eun-woo (Kim Hyang-gi) who helps transform himself into one that heals the hearts of the patient and changes his name to Yoo Se-poong. He also meets his would-be eccentric teacher, Gye Ji-han (Kim Sang-kyun)
Based on the novel of the same name, the series is one of the newest Korean dramas that will catch the viewers' hearts with its beautiful storytelling and great characters.

Kim Min-jae
Kim Min-jae was known for his performances in various Korean dramas such as 'Dr. Romantic' and its sequel, 'Guardian: The Lonely and Great God,' 'Tempted,' and 'Flower Crew: the Joseon Marriage Agency' among others.
Yoo Se-yeop/Yoo Se-poong
In the series, he plays the head acupuncturist of the palace Yoo Se-yeop, until he was thrown out of the palace due to a conspiracy. Inspired to heal instead the people's hearts, he changes his name to Yoo Se-poong.
Musicality
Aside from acting, Kim Min-jae is also a rapper and a pianist. He was a contestant in the rap competition 'Show Me the Money' and studied composition and piano at a music academy when he was in middle school.
Kim Hyang-gi
Kim Hyang-gi started out as a child actress, debuting in a Pariss Baguette commercial. She then won the Best Actress award for her role in the film 'Thread of Lies' as a bullied teen.
Seo Eun-woo
Kim Hyang-gi plays the widow Seo Eun-woo in the series who was bullied by her in-laws after her husband's death. She then studied to be a physician and was the one who inspired Yoo Se-yeop to help heal people's hearts.

Since she started her career in 2006, Kim Hyang-gi has won numerous awards for her various roles.
Kim Sang-kyung
Kim Sang-kyung is best known for his leading role in 'Memories of Murder' and numerous television dramas like 'KingSejong the Great' and the family comedy 'What Happens to my Family.'
Gye Ji-han
Kim San-kyung plays Gye Ji-han, the eccentric teacher of both Yoo Se-poong and Seo Eun-woo. While he appears to be greedy, he's actually warm-hearted and is ready to help those in need.
