IN PHOTOS: Xian Lim as a Kapuso
Kapamilya actor Xian Lim officially confirmed that he's going to star in a Kapuso show in August 2021.
In his supposed first major GMA project, titled 'Love.Die.Repeat,' Xian was paired with Jennylyn Mercado.
The first leg of their taping started in September 2021. However, the production was put on hold because of Jennylyn's medical emergency. It was later announced that the actress was pregnant with her first child with actor and now-husband, Dennis Trillo. Jennylyn gave birth on April 25, 2022.
It seemed things went differently for Xian. Though his supposed inaugural Kapuso series has been parked, Xian had guest appearances in GMA where he had the opportunity to meet other Kapuso artists.
In March 2022, Xian flew to Dubai with Kapuso singers Julie Anne San Jose and Jessica Villarubin for the Expo 2020 Dubai organized by GMA Pinoy TV.
The actor was also given a new project titled 'False Positive' while waiting for 'Love.Die.Repeat's' production to resume.
This marks Xian's first official primetime series with GMA where he is paired with Glaiza De Castro for the first time.

Kapuso
Xian Lim dropped a bombshell in 2021 after he was reportedly set to star in a Kapuso project, following in the footsteps of his fellow Kapamilya stars like Beauty Gonzalez after being in the rival station for years. This momentous highlight in Xian's acting career made it more exciting because Jennylyn Mercado is her leading lady for his first GMA project titled 'Love.Die.Repeat'--a primetime series.
Maynila
Xian actually first appeared in GMA through the weekly drama anthology 'Maynila' where he had multiple guestings years ago.
TV special
In July 2021, Xian's guesting for a TV special of an e-commerce company aired in GMA also made a noise. Here, he was joined by ABS-CBN actress Jessy Mendiola.
Love.Die.Repeat.
That special appearance bore talks about Xian's potential move to GMA. And sure enough, a month after, it was confirmed that he is set to star with Jennylyn for the primetime series 'Love.Die.Repeat.' Its production began in September 2021.
False Positive
Because of Jennylyn's pregnancy, 'Love.Die.Repeat' was put on hold. It was replaced by fantasy rom-com False Positive, making it Xian's first major series in GMA.
Love team
This time, Xian is paired with Glaiza De Castro. The two haven't worked together before yet they have managed to build rapport while on the set of 'False Positive.' According to Xian, it was an honor to work with Asia's Acting Gem. He also praised the dramatic actress for also excelling in comedy.
Kapuso family
It seems Xian is getting along well with other Kapuso stars. Last March, Xian had the pleasure to bond with his GMA family via a TV special where he was one of the hosts. On Instagram, he shared his fanboy moments with some of the biggest Kapuso stars Dingdong Dantes, Carla Abellana, and Rita Daniela by posting his photos with them.
All-Out Sundays
Xian was formally welcomed as Kapuso in the weekly variety show 'All-Out Sundays.' Here Xian jammed with his 'False Positive' leading lady Glaiza De Castro.
False Positive
Xian and Glaiza's GMA Telebabad series 'False Positive' premiered on May 2 and has since become the talk of the town because of its intriguing and amusing story. In the series, they play a newly married couple named Edward and Yannie respectively. It follows Edward, an alpha male, who becomes pregnant after being cursed accidentally by his wife, Yannie. According to Xian, he has developed a higher regard for pregnant women after experiencing a glimpse of what expectant moms have to go through.
