IN PHOTOS: The official entries for the 2021 Metro Manila Film Festival
With the easing up of the quarantine restrictions, cinemas are open once again.
Right in time for Christmas, the yearly Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) is finally set to make a comeback.
The Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the government body which holds the annual festival, released the list of participating films for this year's film fest.
A total of eight entries out of 19 were chosen this year. These were judged based on artistic excellence (40%), commercial appeal (40%), Filipino sensibility (10%), and global appeal (10%).
This years' lineup features a mix of genres such as action, drama, romantic comedies, and even horror thrillers.

A Hard Day
'A Hard Day' stars Dingdong Dantes and John Arcilla. It is a remake of a South Korean film with the same title.
Big Night

Nelia
'Nelia' is a suspense thriller where Winwyn Marquez plays the titular nurse who can't help but be curious about the mysterious cases which land in their hospital.
ExorSis
Celebrity siblings Toni and Alex Gonzaga star in 'ExorSis,' a horror comedy film directed by Fifth Solomon.
