IN PHOTOS: SB19 marks new era with breathtaking photos
In February 2021, P-pop boy group SB19 excitedly teased their fans with breathtaking photos leading to their return titled “SB19 Ikalawang Yugto.”
The teaser photos showcased the five members, Josh, Pablo, Stell, Ken, and Justin, in majestic looks set in the beautiful luxury mountain resort of Rancho Bernardo Luxury Villa in Bagac, Bataan, as they mark a new chapter in their musical careers.
On March 9, SB19 made an aggressive comeback with their newest single titled “What?” written by the group's leader and vocalist Pablo, which aims to inspire their listeners to believe and take pride in themselves.
The single is a combination of genres rock, hip-hop, and EDM centers on the themes of strength, resilience, and raising one's own flag.
Lines from the chorus go: “'Di na bala para iangat ang bandera / Bara na sa puso n'yo ang tatama / Ama! Salamat at ikaw ang agimat / Bawat banat, iwagayway mo ang watawat / “

New era
P-pop boy group SB19 marked a new era in their music by teasing fans with their breathtaking photos captured by video and photo company Chapters PH.
Majestic
The group's comeback looks showcase a more grown-up vibe than their debut album “Get in The Zone,” which was released in July 2020.
Pablo
Group leader Pablo looks regal in his combat uniform and faux fur jacket in his comeback look. In their 2021 comeback, Pablo has again proven his songwriting skills as he is credited to be the writer of SB19's latest track, 'What?'
Stell
Vocalist and dancer Stell is ready to magnetize fans with his dapper look in his brocade suit and blue uniform.
Josh
Rapper and dancer Josh is ready to conquer the Sahara desert as he wears a faux snakeskin jacket and trousers. He pairs this with silver jewelry to serve as his accents.
Ken
Main dancer and vocalist Ken looks every bit of a model in his new era look. Who could ever pull off a lace turtleneck top and pair it with cheetah print trousers? No one but him!
Justin
Bunso and visual Justin goes for a more mysterious look in his set of photos but makes sure he relays his love for music by adding a guitar pin brooch in his right lapel.
Aggressive
For their “What?” promotion, the SB19 members showed their more aggressive looks as they don an all-black ensemble.
Dapper
Despite the theme, each member was able to shine in their respective solo moments throughout the song. For one, we see Josh wearing a suit not only in their promotional photos but in the music video as well, proving he's one dapper man who knows his style!
Long hair
Similarly, we see members being more experimental with their looks in this comeback. For example, we see most of the members growing their hair out like Justin's, which was pulled back in a ponytail in the music video.
Color
Furthermore, they're also not afraid to try different hair colors and styles to match the growing trend in Korea and the whole world.
Complementary
This more mature take on their looks seems to mimic their growth in the industry as they continue to be top-notch all-around performers who can sing and dance in a wide variety of genres.
