IN PHOTOS: Top 10 YouTube Philippines 'breakout creators' for 2020
Video-sharing platform YouTube shared the list of the top 10 "breakout creators" of the Philippines for 2020.
A "breakout creator" is someone who has grown his or her channel by gaining a significant number of in-country subscribers during the year.
This year's list was dominated by Team Payaman, a group of vloggers led by popular channel Cong TV. The members of the team occupy six out of the 10 spots in the list.
This kind of cooperation was well noted by YouTube and Google Philippines, especially with the challenging year which the country is currently facing.
"Filipinos use YouTube to tell and listen to stories, providing some form of comfort in this extremely challenging year. It is inspiring to see how the creators continued to show wayfinding to support one another as a community and to keep their viewers engaged despite the odds. The heart of YouTube is its creators and we recognize their important role in providing not just relevant content but even hope to Filipinos in the time of what turned out to be a difficult 2020," Google Philippines Communications and Public Affairs head Mervin Wenke said in a statement.

Cong TV
Cong TV or Lincoln Velasquez's videos feature relatable Pinoy humor, banter among barkada and even satirical takes on common issues. He is the de facto leader of Team Payaman.
Viy Cortez
Viy Cortez has an assortment of videos featuring pranks, challenges and bits of her daily life on her channel. She is also part of Team Payaman and is the partner of Cong TV.
Jomar Lovena
Jomar Lovena's channel features short films, challenges with his partner and a few pranks.
Junnie Boy
Junnie Boy or Marlon Velasquez is the brother of Cong TV and is part of Team Payaman. His channel features videos of his everyday interactions with his friends, coupled with funny commentary.
Kathryn Bernardo
Actress Kathryn Bernardo launched her channel in December last year. She currently has 2.59 million subscribers and a total of 40,503,673 combined views.
Boss Keng
Boss Keng or Christian Gaspar's videos range from pranks, challenges and banter among his friends in Team Payaman.
Vien
Vien Ilagan is the partner of Junnie Boy and is part of Team Payaman. She shares various videos of her everyday life through her channel.
Leti Sha
Leti Sha or Letisha Velasco shares amazing makeup transformation videos, many of which have gone viral.
