Their celebration of Heart’s day may be a little strange, but Mich Liggayu is decided to celebrate Valentine’s day with her fiancé Jam Sebastian.
 

 

Jam has been battling against the big C for almost a year now and is currently confined in the hospital. Recently, the lad even considered euthanasia to end his suffering.

Mich recalled how she found out about his fiance’s request on Unang Hirit, “Nung pagka-receive ko ng text niya na ‘yun, hindi pa po nag-sink in sa akin agad. So, I had to read it mga five times pa bago ko ma-realize kung ano ‘yung sinasabi niya.”

 

“Sabi ko, ‘Wag kang ganyan, mag-pray lang tayo.’ Nung tinext ko siya, hindi na siya nag-reply eh so pinuntahan ko po siya agad sa hospital. Nag-usap kami one on one nun, kaya lang nung time na ‘yun medyo hirap pa po siya magsalita. Hindi kami nagkaroon ng as in real conversation kasi 'pag tinanong ko siya or 'pag nagkukuwento ako sa kanya, sagot niya lang yes or no,” she continued.

 

To this day, Mich continues to be her partner’s strength through the aid of family, friends and faith.

 

“Through prayers, tapos 'pag may mga friends kami na laging nagvi-visit sa kanya, sobrang nagla-lighten up mood niya. Recently po nag-visit sa kanya si Vice, tapos sobrang priceless ng smile niya nung nandun na si Vice mismo. Naging makuwento siya,” she shared.

 

Mich also reminisced about their engagement.

 

She narrated, “Year before that naisip ko na po ‘yun kasi parang gusto ko may something na kakaiba sa amin. Tapos nung ‘year na na ‘yon, ‘yung best friend ko tumawag sa akin. Sabi niya, ‘Bakit di mo maisip na ikaw mag-propose?’ Sabi ko actually naisip ko ‘yan. Naisip ko nga baka go signal na ‘yun para gawin ko ‘yun.”

But when asked if the wedding is happening anytime soon, she replied, “Ngayon po kasi naka-focus kami sa pagpapagaling niya muna sIyempre kasi ‘yun po ang mas importante.”

 

Being the sunshine to Jam’s life, Mich plans to paint a beautiful smile on his face for Valentine’s day.

 

While she did not disclose specifics, she said, “May plans po kami... sana sana mapa-smile namin si Jam, pero ayaw ko pa po muna sabihin kung ano.”

 

She also imparted to their fans, “Thank you so much po sa followers namin. Isa kayo sa mga reasons kung bakit namin nakakaya ‘tong challenges na dumadating sa buhay namin. Salamat, salamat sobra.”
