Kim Soo-hyun excluded from G-Dragon's 'Telepathy' remake; other idols join star-studded lineup
Kim Soo-hyun's absence in G-Dragon's upcoming project Good Day, featuring a remake of a song, has raised eyebrows.
The buzzworthy MBC show, helmed by G-Dragon, boasts an all-star cast that includes Jo Se-ho, Jung Hyung-don, Defconn, Code Kunst, Hwang Jung-min, Lee Soo-hyuk, Im Si-wan, Hwang Kwang-hee, Jung Hae-in, Kian84, Hong Jin Kyung, Kim Go-eun, Chef Ahn Sung Jae, SEVENTEEN's BSS, CL, and aespa.
It was recently revealed what kind of track emerged from G-Dragon's Good Day project. After thoughtful consideration, G-Dragon chose to remake the iconic '80s hit "Telepathy" by the Dosi Brothers. A sneak peek of the groovy new version was released on April 6, just ahead of the show's 7th episode premiere. The preview featured a vibrant mix of K-pop idols, actors, TV personalities, and chefs.
Amid the excitement, one noticeable absence stands out during the recording sessions--Kim Soo-hyun. While G-Dragon brought together fellow '88-liners Im Si-wan, Jung Hae-in, and Hwang Kwang-hee, Kim Soo-hyun was conspicuously left out of the project. This sparked controversy, as he had been part of the 88-liners episode. His exclusion has fueled speculation, especially in light of the ongoing controversy linked to allegations involving the late actress Kim Sae-ron.
Recently, Kim Soo-hyun broke his silence and addressed the scandal for the first time. However, his remarks only intensified the backlash, reigniting speculation surrounding his 2017 film Real. Concerns have resurfaced about whether his late co-star, Sulli, was pressured into certain scenes, adding another layer to the growing debate.
