J-hope drops teaser for new single, 'MONA LISA'
J-hope of the global group BTS surprised fans once again with a new digital single, "MONA LISA," set to drop this Friday.
On Tuesday, a 32-second trailer of the upcoming track was released, where J-hope can be seen in an all-white room made to look like a museum.
In an earlier Weverse post, the group's record label, BigHit Music, said the hip-hop and R&B track "celebrates a captivating person by playfully comparing them to the iconic masterpiece 'Mona Lisa,' which has charmed the world for centuries."
It added that the dancer-rapper "conveys that true allure lies not in one's external beauty but in the unique qualities that make the person special" through the song.
J-hope first performed "MONA LISA" live in his show in New York, as part of his solo tour, Hope on the Stage.
"MONA LISA" will be released on March 21 at 1 p.m. KST (12 p.m. in Manila).
J-hope released his single, "Sweet Dreams (feat. Miguel)," earlier this month.
He collaborated with several K-pop idols for a dance challenge of the song, including Yeonjun of Tomorrow x Togetuher, Hoshi and Woozi of SEVENTEEN, Taemin, San of ATEEZ, Ni-ki of ENHYPEN, Nayeon and Momo of TWICE, Karina of aespa, and Yunjin of LESSERAFIM.
J-hope is coming to Manila in April for a two-day show at the Mall of Asia Arena, as part of his solo tour, Hope on the Stage.
