Elijah Alejo on her theater stint: 'I've grown so much'
Elijah Alejo has not only shown her notable acting prowess on television, but also on the stage.
As seen on her social media posts, the Cruz vs. Cruz actress shared her journey as a stage play actress and has starred in plays such as Ibong Adarna and Noli Me Tangere.
In her latest Instagram post, the Sparkle star said that she's overwhelmed with gratitude and has grown so much after two seasons with the said theater group.
“As this season ends, I'm overwhelmed with gratitude. In just two seasons with Sining Pinagpala Theatre Foundation, I've grown so much--not just as an actress, but as a person. This isn't just a theater group; it's a family that has given me laughter, support, and the space to push my limits.
“Playing 'Laura' in Florante at Laura' for the first time and stepping back into 'Leonor' and 'Maria Clara' in Noli Me Tangere has been an unforgettable journey--one filled with challenges, breakthroughs, and moments I'll cherish forever,” she wrote.
According to Elijah, every stage performance felt “magical” because of the bond she shared with the people in her theater group and their connection with the audience.
She went on, “Of course, there were struggles--doubts, exhaustion, moments of uncertainty--but every hardship made the victories even sweeter, teaching me resilience, patience, and a deeper love for storytelling.”
The talented artist also expressed her gratitude to the people who have believed in her and made every stage performance successful.
“To Tita Anne Lacsamana Villegas, my second mother, who has believed in me since Prima Donnas--thank you for your trust, even when I doubted myself. To Ate Sweet Villegas, my big sister and best friend backstage, but also a rock-solid co-director--your support means the world. To Ate Razel Crystal Neo, the glue that holds everything together, making sure we can focus on bringing these stories to life--thank you. And to Sir Mike Rouello, the reason we get to share these stories with thousands every Sunday--your dedication is truly inspiring,” she continued.
She also thanked the teachers and students for their energy and enthusiasm that made every performance more special.
Before ending her post, she added, “And above all, thank you, Lord, for giving us the wisdom and strength to perform every weekend and for keeping us safe through it all.
“This season may be over, but the memories, lessons, and friendships will stay. See you next season--for more stories, more magic, and more moments to treasure!”
Aside from being an actress, Elijah also began her own perfume business which she called Haliya by Elijah Alejo.
