By Ron Lim
A review of Ruru Madrid's performance in 'Green Bones' praised his portrayal of his character, Xavier Gonzaga.

Moviegoers can finally see Green Bones, the official entry of GMA Pictures and GMA Public Affairs to the 50th Metro Manila Film festival, tomorrow. But if they still need more reason to catch this highly anticipated film, reviews for the performance of Ruru Madrid may convince them.

In one of the more recent posts on the official Instagram account of Goldwin Reviews, the group posted an excerpt from their review of Green Bones, which they gave a three-star rating. In the excerpt, the reviewer wrote that Ruru “deserves to be recognized for his excellence and consistency. He stayed true to his role. The growth of his character is truly seen because of how he portrays it.”

In their full review of the movie, they described Green Bones as a movie that will “broaden” someone's perspective in life and that it is now time to “break free from narrow and limited thinking.” The review also praised Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo for an “effortlessly good performance”.

Dennis, who is a co-producer of the movie through his Brightburn Entertainment, has certainly been putting in the work to publicize the movie. Just recently, Dennis met mallgoers in Taguig City's Market! Market! Aside from taking photos with the actor, some gamely interacted with the actor, such as a barker who announced Dennis' presence to the rest of the people in the mall's terminal.

Back in December 22, Dennis sold movie tickets for Green Bones in Cebu.

Dennis not only took photos with the fans and sold tickets for the movie, he also discussed the film in more detail to the assembled fans and moviegoers.

Dennis also recently sat down with King of Talk Boy Abunda on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda. He shared the difficulties he encountered playing his character in Green Bones, Domingo Zamora, and his Pulang Araw character, Col. Yuta Saitoh. He also shared his openness to the idea of becoming a director in the future.

Green Bones is directed by Zig Dulay and written by Ricky Lee and Anj Atienza. It is co-produced by Brightburn Entertainment and distributed by Columbia Pictures for Sony Pictures Releasing International.
