Chelsea Manalo is the first Miss Universe Asia; Miss Denmark hailed as winner
Although she bowed out early in the competition, Filipina representative Chelsea Manalo was officially announced as the first ever Miss Universe Asia.
Chelsea, the successor of Sparkle actress Michelle Dee, finished as one of the Top 30 semi finalists this year in the Miss Universe 2024 coronation night held in Mexico.
In a Facebook post via the official page of Miss Universe Philippines, they confirmed that Chelsea is one of the Four Continental Queens.
“Hello! Maraming Salamat, mabuhay ang Pilipinas. We are making history as Miss Universe Asia.” the Bulacan beauty queen said.
Meanwhile, Victoria Kjaer Theilvig of Denmark was chosen as the newest Miss Universe 2024 titleholder.
The first runner-up was Miss Nigeria, while Miss Mexico bagged the second runner-up spot. Miss Thailand and Miss Venezuela were hailed as the third runner-up and fourth runner-up, respectively.
