BTS's V to release 'White Christmas' cover featuring Bing Crosby's original vocals
This year's Christmas is set to be extra special for ARMY fans, as BTS vocalist V will release a dreamy holiday cover song this winter.
On the K-pop group's official X (formerly Twitter) page, the artist teased fans with the song's adorable holiday-themed cover art. It was officially announced that V would be covering Bing Crosby's classic "White Christmas." However, with a twist, the song also features a duet with the legendary crooner himself, blending his vocals with V's performance.
The cover art featured a festive image of Bing wearing a Santa hat, alongside V's adorable dog, Yeontan. The highly anticipated holiday cover was announced to be released on December 6 at 2 p.m. (KST).
The Bing Crosby Estate also shared the exciting news on their social media pages, announcing exclusive merchandise to accompany the release. It includes physical albums, hoodies, and other Christmas-themed gifts.

In a statement from Billboard, V expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to collaborate with his idol. "I'm so grateful to have had the chance to be featured in a song with my all-time favorite jazz artist, Bing Crosby," V said. "I grew up listening to his song 'It's Been a Long, Long Time' countless times a day, and I feel incredibly fortunate and honored to have sung along on 'White Christmas' with the voice of someone I consider an idol."
"Being a huge fan of his, I sang with the utmost sincerity and admiration for him," he continued. "I hope many people enjoy it as much as I enjoyed singing it. Lastly, I wish a lovely holiday season to everyone listening to the song."
The late American singer's family also shared their excitement for the project. His daughter, Mary, expressed her delight'. “As a family, we are thrilled to have V and Dad singing together on this ultimate Christmas song. Their voices blend beautifully, capturing the holiday spirit in the best possible way.”
Bing Crosby first recorded "White Christmas" for the 1942 musical film Holiday Inn, and his version became the most iconic version. The iconic singer passed away in 1977.
