Marina Summers considers Vice Ganda as 'queer icon,' and 'inspiration'
Marina Summers had a heartwarming encounter with Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda at a recent pride event held in Quezon City.
The drag artist took to X (formerly Twitter) to share her photo with the It's Showtime host and shared what the latter told her before her performance at the event.
“Hearing Meme Vice say 'I'm so proud of you. You're the best. The best.' before I perform last night is probably one of the best things that has happened to me as an artist (like Ru's Born to Do Drag levels),” she wrote in her tweet.
Marina then expressed her love and gratitude to the seasoned host and comedian saying, “@vicegandako you have always been a queer icon and inspiration for a lot of us Filipinos! I love you and thank you for being YOU! I will continue to make you and our community proud!”
She also shared a joke that the actor-host told her, “Ps. Sabi niya, tsaka na daw ako mag-retire pag mayaman na mayaman na ako and pag masakit na yung tuhod ko.”
