Ashley Ortega beams with pride for groundbreaking primetime series 'Pulang Araw'

Ashley Ortega is set to give another riveting performance in the highly-anticipated GMA Prime series titled Pulang Araw.

According to Ashley, Pulang Araw is a great opportunity for Filipinos to learn more about their history.

"I'm really excited kasi talaga 'yung Pulang Araw e pinag-isipan talaga ng production. There's so many things na matutunan , especially mga Pinoy. Kasi, the story is about history," Ashley told GMANetwork.com in an interview during the DITO Telecommunity event held earlier, April 11, at the One Bonifacio Highstreet Mall in Taguig City.

However, Ashley refused to give more details about the series because, she said, "Mahirap magsalita, kasi baka maspoil.”

In the said series, Ashley will join Kapuso Primetime Princess Barbie Forteza, Pambansang Ginoo David Licauco, Sanya Lopez, and Asia's Multimedia star Alden Richards.

Adding star power to an already phenomenal cast is Kapuso Drama King Dennis Trillo, who will portray a kontrabida role.

Before Pulang Araw, Ashley has shown her acting skill in successful TV series such as Hearts on Ice (2023), Widows' Web (2022), and Legal Wives (2021).

Last February, the Sparkle GMA Artist Center Ashley was introduced as one of the members of the all-women powerhouse group called The Sparkle 10.

Joining her are equally talented and beautiful ladies namely, Faith Da Silva, Rabiya Mateo, Lianne Valentin, Shuvee Etrata, Lexi Gonzales, Angel Guardian, Liezel Lopez, Kate Valdez, and Elle Villanueva.

Ashley is proud to be part of this group of confident ladies.

“I'm really grateful for GMA in launching a new batch of girls which is the Sparkle 10. And I'm really happy to work with those girls kasi they are all intelligent. They are all bold and brave, so, were just really grateful na ni-launch kami ng GMA," she concluded.
