IN PHOTOS: Do you still remember former 'Tween Hearts' star Lexi Fernandez?
Lexi Fernandez, daughter of actress Maritoni Fernandez, once followed her mom's footsteps through several series that aired in GMA in the early 2000s.
She was best known as Leslie “Les” Fernan in the 2010 youth-oriented show Reel Love Presents: Tween Hearts, which was top-billed by a number of then-young stars including its lead cast Barbie Forteza and Joshua Dionisio, and Bea Binene and Jake Vargas, and her then onscreen partner Derrick Monasterio.
She left the show business in 2013, citing that she was secretly suffering from two mental disorders - anxiety and depression while working as an actress.
After taking a step back into the limelight, Lexi decided to focus on her studies and later enrolled at the University of Asia and the Pacific.
In August 2019, the former star gladly announced that she graduated from college and has earned a degree in Child Development and Education in the said university.
Studying for Lexi didn't stop there as she has also chosen to pursue master's studies in Australia. She has been living independently in the said country since February 2020.
